This important development was made with an aim to increase the activities of the IMiLI, adapt them to regional needs, feed new, diverse perceptions back into IMLI resource development and provide new inputs, and propel IMLI resources into schools and other forms of education and public information.

IMiLI-SAC is located at Phixgen Pvt. Ltd., Gurugram (INDIA), and is staffed initially by a half-time postdoctoral microbiologist, and supervised by Prof. Rup Lal and Prof. Kenneth Timmis. IMiLI-SAC is expected to grow organically with time.

About PhiXgen Pvt. Ltd.

PhiXGen Pvt. Ltd. was founded in January, 2018 by Prof. Rup Lal and his team. PhiXGen is committed to delivering quality services with unmatched quality. The major focus of the firm is to work towards innovation, development, deployment, and commercialization of products and services. The work mandate includes providing technical services to beginners who are facing difficulties in their projects. This primarily includes support for Next Generation Sequencing projects for Genomics, Transcriptomics and Proteomics studies. The wide scope of the firm also includes the onsite/ offsite/ online training courses for graduates/ post-graduates and corporates professionals. We have conducted more than 15 in-depth workshops in the last two years and are handling NMCG and BIRAC major projects with our collaborators. Our aim is to implement scientific knowledge for resolving issues related to meta(genomic) data analysis, bioproduct development, agricultural resource development, counseling, consultation, and training. In the past three years, PhiXgen has exceled at an exponential pace both in the academics and at the industrial level. PhiXgen has been actively involved in propagating microbiology literacy among society and school childran by conducting several workshops and outreach programs.
